This page contains links to the Sanborn maps of downtown Fargo for each year they are available.  The Sanborn map pages for each year are in turn linked to a close-up view of a few select blocks.   

This section is not all-inclusive, but rather is intended to introduce the researcher to the type of information that can be obtained from such a map.  The detail for these maps varies, and tends to focus on downtown businesses and their respective risks for fire.  As a result, some buildings have been rendered in great detail.  Some floor plans are even depicted for hotels, theaters, auditoriums, and similar structures.
