November 23: On November 17, the Fargo Police Department conducted a one day traffic safety blitz focusing on speed violations in construction work zones. Officers concentrated their efforts in the construction zones on South University Drive and 12th Avenue North. Officers utilized unconventional enforcement tactics in this blitz. Officers with LIDAR units were placed in a truck with a utility bucket and in a dump truck. As a result, officers issued 151 speed related citations. The main focus of this event was to promote work zone safety for all construction workers who are still working on Fargo streets.
