November 19: The City of Fargo is making some notable changes to Public, Education and Government (PEG) cable access channels Access 12 and TV Fargo 99. Starting January 1, 2010 government programming will be moved from TV Fargo 99 to channel 12 and community programming will be moved from Access 12 to channel 99. This will help make happenings in Fargo City government more visible to our residents and raise awareness about PEG television. After the switch, TV Fargo 12 will continue to offer live City Government meetings and rebroadcasts of those meetings, City produced educational programming about available City services, NASA Television and limited military programming. Community Access 99 will continue to broadcast local favorites such as church programs, Polka Spotlight, classic movies and The Vintage Vehicle Show. City Commissioner Mike Williams says, “This channel changeover should make it more convenient for our residents to find and watch our government meetings on Channel 12 while continuing to expand community public programming on Channel 99”.
