October 21: Fargo Municipal Court has made arrangements through United Way of Cass-Clay to require as a condition of a suspended sentence on theft/shoplifting, that the offender make a $50.00 donation to United Way of Cass-Clay specifically for emergency food services. The Honorable Thomas A. Davies says, “ If you take from this community you will give back to the community. There is an established need for these services and it is hoped this program will assist those in need.” United Way of Cass-Clay will distribute the money raised equally between the following organizations:
Dorothy Day Food Pantry
Emergency Food Pantry
Great Plains Food Bank
Churches United – provides hot meals & food baskets
YWCA – provides hot meals & food baskets
New Life Center – provides hot meals
Salvation Army – provides hot meals
