12th Avenue North Closure Extended

September 15: The City of Fargo will be extending the closing of 12th Avenue North from 45th Street to 9th Street East in West Fargo for the installation of the sanitary sewer force main just west of 45th Street. Traffic will be detoured on 7th Avenue North via 45th Street and 9th Street East. The work is now expected to last two weeks. Main Avenue Lane Closures

FARGO, N.D. (August 18, 2009) – Beginning tomorrow morning, August 19, 2009 the eastbound lanes on Main Avenue between 2nd St. and 23rd St., will be closed for resurfacing. Drivers will still be able to travel eastbound and westbound in single lane, head to head traffic. As part of the project, the contractor will be milling and overlaying Main Avenue with new asphalt as well as updating the sidewalk ramps to current ADA standards. This project is expected to last four to six weeks and drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes.

Closure of 15th Aveneue N and Elm Street

The City of Fargo, in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, has closed 15th Avenue N and Elm Street where the two intersect in north Fargo. The closures are necessary as crews construct permanent flood protection in this area as part of the Ridgewood Flood Control Project. The closures are expected to last until late October. Motorists are being detoured to 3rd Street to get around the construction zone.
