29th Avenue North Lane Closure

Fargo, N.D. (June 23, 2009) – Thursday morning, (June 25th), at approximately 7:00 a.m., the City of Fargo will be closing 29th Avenue North between Evergreen Road North and Hickory Street North to repair potholes in this area. Weather permitting, 29th Avenue North will re-open late afternoon, Monday June 29th.

45th Street South Lane Closure

Fargo, ND. (June 23, 2009)--On Wednesday morning, (June 24th) at 9:00 a.m., the right northbound lane of 45th Street South at 9th Avenue South for sanitary sewer construction. The lane closure is expected to be in place until approximately Friday, June 26th.

10th Street North Lane Closure

FARGO, N.D. (June 5, 2009) – Beginning Monday (June 8th) at 8:30 am, the City of Fargo Street Department will close one Northbound lane of 10th Street North from 7th Avenue North to 8th Avenue North for water service repairs. Eastbound traffic on 8th Avenue North will be detoured around the work zone. The work is expected to be completed by late afternoon on Friday, June 12.

Prairiewood Drive Closure Again

Fargo, ND (June 1, 2009)--The City of Fargo will again be closing Prairiewood Drive in the vicinity of 92 Prairiewood Drive this Wednesday and Thursday (June 3 & 4), from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. This will allow pipeline crews to make repairs to the street which were part of the maintenance work on their underground equipment. The closure's location will be in the southeast corner of the Prairiewood Drive loop, adjacent to the I-94 on-ramp. Traffic will not be allowed around the worksite during the day, but will be open after 7 p.m. Work is expected to be completed over the course of the two days.

SPRING WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS CHANGING MAY 26, 2009

Effective Tuesday May 26, 2009 the City of Fargo Spring load restrictions that have been currently imposed on the city roads will be lifted and all roads will return to their regular weight restrictions.
Designated Truck Route system will return to weight limitations as follows:

Single Axle....................20,000 lbs.
Tandem Axle..................34,000 lbs.-not to exceed 17,000 lbs. per axle
3 or more Axles..............48,000lbs.-not to exceed 16,000 lbs. per axle
Gross Vehicle Weight.....105,500 lbs.

All non-truck route streets which includes the residential system will return to a Class A restriction as follows:

Single Axle...................18,000 lbs.
Tandem Axle.................32,000 lbs.-not to exceed 16,000 lbs. per axle
3 or more Axles.............42,000lbs.-not to exceed 14,000 lbs. per axle
Gross Vehicle Weight.....80,000 lbs.

Closure of 15th Aveneue N and Elm Street

The City of Fargo, in conjunction with the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, has closed 15th Avenue N and Elm Street where the two intersect in north Fargo. The closures are necessary as crews construct permanent flood protection in this area as part of the Ridgewood Flood Control Project. The closures are expected to last until mid July. Motorists are being detoured to 3rd Street to get around the construction zone.

Street Closure on 32nd Ave S

FARGO, N.D. (Apr. 23, 2009) – This morning (Thursday, Apr. 23), Dakota Underground will close 32nd Avenue South between 51st Street South and 57th Street South in order to complete underground utility and paving improvements. The street closure is expected to remain in place until the end of August.
